Participant of the following national projects: Fungal Diversity in the "Sierra del Rosario" Biosphere Reserve, Cuba and Automated Classification of Plant-pathogenic Microscopic Fungi based on Explorative Analysis of Data and Advanced Techniques for Image Processing. Member of the Asociación de Aficionados a la Botánica since 1986. Specialist in systematics and ecology of anamorphic / mitosporic fungi. Training in identification of mitosporic fungi on different substrata in the Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática (IES) under the supervision of Dr Mena Portales since 1998.
