Myxomycetes in Ukraine have not been greatly studied so far. Only recently has collecting been carried out in the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, Kaniv Reserve, Kiev and Kiev Oblast. Part of this information has been published (Dudka & Kryvomaz, 1997). The complete list of myxomycetes recorded to date from Ukraine including bibliographic sources comprises 162 species. This list is presented in tabular form, with further information about distribution of the species in the physico-geographic regions of Ukraine. A separate list is also provided of publications containing records of Ukrainian myxomycetes in chronological order. New tabular (multiple-entry) identification keys of these myxomycetes are proposed, based on morphology. Taxa are listed along the vertical axis, with concise descriptions of distinguishing features shown horizontally. The keys also contain various illustrations, including many small pictures showing the main characters for "genera" tables. The combination of pictures and a concise text facilitates identification. Detailed illustrations from various sources are provided to confirm final identifications.
